Age Chart

Here is an age chart for the big cats of my universe. I am aware in real life that they do not age like this. The ages are based on human ages and development.
Lions #1, #2, and #4 are mine. Lions #3 and #5 you may take.

--------------

Newborn (Birth to first month):

Most big cats give birth up to 2-4 cubs on average. More cubs are not uncommon. As the big cat age increases, the probability for larger litters decrease. Cubs at this stage are helpless and need tons of care. They need regular body heat, and regular cleaning. They do not do much at this stage other than sleeping, eating and crawling. Their eyes open at 2 weeks old.

Older Infant (2 months to one year):

Cubs become more active at this stage. With their eyes and ears now open, they can now play with other cubs and even their mother. They begin walking at this stage as well. At one year old, they can start babbling and mimicking phrases and sounds.

Toddler (2 years to 7 years):

At this stage, the cub will start to speak full sentences and explore the world around them. They also begin schooling at this stage of their lives. They learn to write, draw, and play with others their age. Some cubs also start walking at this age, which could be a cause for concern.

Cub (7 years to 8 years):

At this stage, cubs start elementary school (1st grade to be exact) to prepare them for middle school in several years and also learning about the past of Illusionlands. Cubs at this stage will play, draw and socialize with others.

Preteen (9 years to 12 years):

Female cubs start puberty at this stage in their lives. Male cubs will start sprout some mane tufts and tufts on their elbows. They also finish elementary school and move into middle school.

Teen (13 years to 17 years):

Male cubs start puberty at this stage of their lives. Manes will start to grow, voices and roars get deeper, hormones start going all over the place. You might expect them to do stupid things at this age.

Young Adult (18 years to 30 years):

At this stage, teen big cats move on into adulthood after senior year. Male lion smaller manes do not fully grow in until they are 21. They begin to go to college and get on with their lives and get a job.

Adult (30 years to 50 years):

Big cats at this stage are now mature adults to go off and do their own things. They might finish up college and hang out with friends, attend adult areas, gamble, and drink. They no longer live under their parent's roof.

Senior/Elder (51+)

At the final stage of their lives, big cats finally settle down and retire to live at home. Their health and immune system becomes compromised and old age sets in. The average life span for them is around 70 years. It is not uncommon to surpass 70 years.
