民眾發現此龍於乳牛棚內，又被稱做偽牛龍。
根據民間紀錄，斑牛幼龍在牧場邊玩耍，誤把外觀相似乳牛當做親龍，隔日酪農發現長相怪異的乳牛而有此傳說。
體型跟牛差不多大，常態出現地未知，有人猜測是在雪山上，但也沒有其他參考資料。
