體型與貓相仿，乖巧安靜，喜歡獨居。
在海邊泥沙岸出沒，藏匿於草叢中。
背上的棘片是健康的象徵，若健康狀況不佳會全數脫落。
此種龍類的蛋像種子，一般生於落葉堆中，產下蛋的母龍便會離開此地，蛋群會自己靜待孵化，孵化期為一年。
